I'm glad you're here. If you've made it this far, you're likely considering working with me, and you may be interested in hearing a little more about me. I’d be happy to share a bit of my background history and what's on the forefront.

My name is Joey O'Neill. I grew up in Pembroke, Massachusetts, and have been a full-time residential carpenter since the age of 16. I actually started on the job sites cleaning up when I was 10, just on the weekends. I grew up working with my father, Joseph O'Neill, and my brother, Daniel Curran. They were both residential remodelers, and we did everything together for years and years. Eventually, I grew my own wings and wanted to fly off on my own. I kept learning, growing, and evolving throughout the years.

My experience spans several areas: from roofing (rubber and asphalt), to siding (red and white cedar shakes with laced corners, clapboards, Hardi plank, etc.), to framing, new construction, decks, additions, structural repairs, and high-end remodels. I then moved into historical restorations and remodeling with TIMBERWOLF INC., where I did high-end work under Dave Berry, who performed really meticulous craftwork. I loved it and stayed with the company for a long time, mastering all the different residential home improvement trades—all of them—and learned a great deal.

I kept evolving and growing, putting myself into Wentworth for CAD classes I and II. From there, I started subcontracting kitchen installations for myself and began building onsite cabinets to fill voids and correct mistakes for other designers. This was to ensure homeowner/contractor deadlines were met and issues within the jobs I was running were rectified.

From the subcontracted work, I started my own custom cabinet build and design business, Top Notch Custom Build and Design. I designed and built kitchens, baths, custom built-in cabinetry like under stairway storage, bookshelves, closet buildouts, basement buildouts, and entertainment cabinets.

Unfortunately, my shop was sold, and my partner betrayed me—sorry for the language, but it's the truth! Now, that's neither here nor there, but it still pertains to why we are here now as a new business and such a versatile one at that. After four years of subcontracting myself out to different contractors for various projects—all the while helping their businesses grow from my work—their appreciation wasn't there anymore. So, here we are. I decided to go at it again and do it on my own, this time with new meaning, value, and purpose. This time it's for my family.

Back then, I didn't have a family to support, but today I do. I support my family and want to present opportunities for growth. I have a wife and three children—a son, 17, and two daughters, ages 8 and 9 (as of 2023). I mention that because I'm building this business and opportunity for my family's future. I built and wrote this whole website myself too. No, I'm not a graphic designer; I'm just constantly learning and growing as I've stated previously.

Here we are now, growing and establishing this business for the future. I'm here to build new relationships with new clients in the construction service end of it. I love long-term relationships. I take pride in having your trust because for me, it's quality over quantity. It's really not all about me; this is more so for you because I'm not really one to put myself or my businesses up on a pedestal like that, and simply for the fact that you may not know me yet. So, I wrote this for you and I will say with confidence that I am a well-known and respected general contractor here on the South Shore, Massachusetts, Plymouth County area specifically, and I'm here for YOU.
